EPIPHANY OF THE LORD

Friday, January 6, 2006
Cycle B

Readings: Is 60: 1-6 / Eph 3:2 - 6 / Matt 2: 1-12

"And you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah,
for out of you will come a leader who will shepherd my people Israel."

Reflection: A post-Christmas song composed by Fr. Manoling Francisco, S.J. goes this way:

"When the song of angels is stilled
when the stars in the sky is gone
when the kings and princes are home
when the shepherds are back with their flocks,
the work of Christmas begins -
to find the lost, to heal the broken,
to feed the hungry, free the prisoners,
to rebuild nations, to bring peace to all brothers
to make music in our hearts ..."

The moment when we can see an obsure Christ right in front of our eyes through these ... and respond accordingly, is Epiphany; Christmas has dawned upon us!

    From Deah

A Person's life speaks for himself.
    Kindness begets kindness
    Good deeds are always rewarded
maybe not by those to whom you give it to,
but there is no affirmation or reward that is greater than the one
    that comes from UP ABOVE.
For only HE knows what truly is in your heart!

A Blind man who carries a Lame man will both move forward.
The great man does not think beforehand of his words that they may
    be sincere,nor of his actions that they may be resolute;
he simply speaks and does what is right.

A blind man who carries a lame man both moves forward.Everyone has each own's strengths and weaknesses. For nobody is perfect except GOD. But seeing Christ in our strengths and helping each other overcome our weaknesses is what our mission as Christian should be.To glorify GOD's name by utilizing our GOD given gifts to spread the Good News to mankind.
oftentimes the merit comes not from the people you help and give service to but from GOD who rewards you for your good deeds.
Thank you,Father for sharing this reflection.
