Jesus, bread, and us

Lord just recently freed the people of Israel.  But they immediately complained, "We have no food!"  What such short memories.  But the action of the Lord is nobler; he sent them bread from heaven.

Jesus used the image of bread to describe himself.  Bread is the most obvious symbol of something that we need to keep us alive.  Jesus is the one who keeps us alive.

Bread is what we need to live socially.  Jesus enables us to love one another.  We need one another and we need him most of all.

Finally, bread is what we need to share it to others and have meaning.  Only in Jesus can we have the power to share ourselves to others.

Bread, Jesus, and us are intimately linked.
